Consider your organization's supply chain operations. Which specific workflow involving EDI would benefit most from blockchain enhancement, and why?

**Suggested factors to consider:**

* Where do you experience frequent disputes or reconciliation challenges?
* Which processes involve multiple trading partners with potentially conflicting records?
* Where do payment delays create significant working capital costs?
* Which products face authenticity or compliance verification challenges?
* What percentage of EDI transactions require manual exception handling?

**Note to Learners:** Strong answers identify workflows where:

1. **Trust and verification create measurable costs** (e.g., $200K annually reconciling disputes)
2. **Multiple parties need to verify truth** (multi-tier supply chains, international shipments)
3. **Automation can eliminate manual work** (20% of transactions need human intervention)
4. **Working capital is constrained** (verification delays payment by 30-45 days)

For most organizations, highest-impact starting points are:

* **Invoice-to-payment workflow:** Combines dispute resolution + payment automation + working capital benefits
